We'll be driving from Atlanta through Charleston to Myrtle Beach next week and would like to know a good way to drive to see some of the old Charleston on our way through. Appreciate any advice. We'll be some limited on the time that we can spend in Charleston but would like to just see some of the town.

Out of curiousity, why are you driving through Charleston to get to Myrtle Beach from Atlanta?

It's at least an hour, if not more out of your way.

If you are driving through to see some of Charleston, stop and spend the night.

It's hard to drive through the historic district to see it. I would stop and walk.

The prettiest drive is south of Charleston through the ACE Basin. Quite stunning during the day and completely breathtaking at sunset.
