We are sort of new to the area, and amateur photographers. With all the military installations around here I am looking for a good place to take photos of aircraft taking off/landing.

I understand by the airport would be a good place to start but I was hoping for a more precise location. Best times of the day would be helpful too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Loving this area!

TIA

I have seen some cool stuff on aviation avenue driving in and out.

At the same time... watch signs there are areas you can drive on but say no pictures and hands free cellphone use only.

It never ceases to amaze me how willingly people give up their rights in this country, and how much fear our citizens have.

What right in this matter are you referring to? Who is showing fear?

There is a degree of rights, and national security.

I still think its harmless, but China loves to steal everything they can, and try to recreate it.

This by far, Granted it depends on the day and which way they are taking off and landing. But no fear of Cops or anything else bothering you.

Perimeter RD is the best place but like stated its frowned upon. Not to mention our Base Cops can issue tickets on that road even though it's not on base per say. Theres a gravel area by the SHAW yard you could pull off and park at. But I'd limit your time there, if a Charleston or Air Force Cop does come by just play stupid. " Say you're new to the area"
