Hi!

I'm a single 34 year old woman, hoping Charleston will be be the place for me. I LOVE the heat and can't wait! I'm coming the 2nd week in May for a week before making my decision. I'm renting a car and will be exploring everywhere. Any MUST SEE places? This could be a tourist attraction or a great neighborhood. Below is my criteria with the most important things at the top and the things least important towards the bottom.

- I will be living alone so safety is first. I also enjoy jogging.
- I have a special needs dog. He is 3-legged and must be on the first floor. For this reason I was leaning more towards a small house with a fenced yard. I can work anywhere so the job isn't an issue.
- a "younger" neighborhood (if there is such a thing). I know there are many areas that are more family oriented.
- 10 to 15 minutes to the beach
- 20 minutes or less to social areas (restaurants, bars, etc. doesn't necessarily need to be downtown Charleston)
- rent $1,100 or less
- 2 bedroom minimum

Thanks everyone. Can't wait to finally see Charleston with my own eyes!
