Well, after 3+ years of plotting and planning things are all coming together and we will be pulling into our new home in Mount Pleasant 1 week plus a few hours from now. So excited, the kids are excited, the wife is excited... the dog not so much as he gets to spend the year with the in-laws as our rental wouldn't take pets. Anyway wanted to thank everyone here for making all the information available. It really has helped me and my family in our quest.

So that leads me to what to do for the 4th. Where are the best places to see fireworks? Or other cool holiday stuff to do for families? Thanks

The biggest fireworks show will be from Patriots Point. Check out Charleston City Paper for all the other festivities. Enjoy!

Hey, I hear they're selling tickets to sit on the deck of the Yorktown for the fireworks this year. Anyone else heard that?

Oh and I still remember the fireworks show when they opened the new bridge. That was incredible. Wish they would do something like that for the 4th. We saw it from our boat; really the best way to see the fireworks.
