This thread makes me giggle...no carpenters?

Take a walk to Buffington Homes, or any custom home builder in town or on the islands. Look at thier work and tell me they cant do what you're asking for. Just ask for one who works on the side.

If that doesn't satisfy, then bring one in from out of town. I just returned from a week in Vero Beach doing my thing for some folks who have a home in Chicago and on the beach in Vero. The carpentry crew there hailed from MA, travel anywhere, and would be ranked among the best I've had the pleasure of working with.

Great carpenters are all over. You may have to go where they work to find them.

Now get to it!

Thanks Silversides. My thoughts exactly. I know there are skilled carpenters out there. Its not a lost trade yet! I was thinking I may ask one of the men who built my home if they worked on the side. Im sure they know how to install beadboard and shelving. If you can hang trim, you can hang beadboard, right?

You can hang beadboard all day long... painting it is the most annoying part IMO.

Secret, paint it before you hand it, then all you have to do is touch up nail holes and joints....
