Personally I tend to go to FL. I've not done any of the local trips I'm afraid.

How is the diving in SC?

The diving waayyyyy up north in North Carolina where I'm from is very popular. Wondering how it is here.

Once you get offshore its great. A lot of people dont know it,,,but we have lobsters off of our coast.

Yep, I know alot of folks that come home with spinys on North Carolina dives. No doubt they should be in better numbers as you head south.
