I am fairly new to the Summerville area and when I watch the news on CBS they ring a church bell when the weather forecast is on. The bell sounds so much like my door bell I am still heading for the door half the time when the weather is on. What is the reason they ring the bell?

The news around here is strange to say the lest. The weather is downright cooky.

Bill Walsh has done that for the past few years. They ring one for the seven-day forecast and when he says something like the "Dome of Delight."

Haha, it's made me jump from my computer when I hear it in the mornings in my home office- you are right, it does sound a bit like a doorbell.
