I heard this mentioned. Can anyone tell me what stores are there?

I don't think there is anything there, actually. I drove right by the CSLplasma building next door yesterday (I remember it clearly because I was wondering about it, plus the creepy razor wire fence covered with Spanish moss across the street at the Naval Hospital), and I would have noticed if they had built up that lot yet, I think. It was a shopping center, and the land now belongs to North Charleston. They planned on making it into retail space, but I don't know how far they've gotten. Maybe someone else will know if they have actually rebuilt retail space there. It's a pretty rough area that could use some intervention to revitalize it.

It doesn't look like anything is there, but I could be wrong since I don't live over that way. It looks like it was torn down in September 2011.

Shipwatch Square's end start of something new – The Post and Courier

The P&C article article states that Pine Haven was renamed Shipwatch Square in 1985.

According to the below article, Shipwatch Square is being sold and the potential new buyers have plans to have some stores and other things there.

The old Navy Hospital has been up for sale now for a while,,,and the old "Pinehaven" shopping center (Shipwatch Square) is an empty grass lot now that is owned by the City of North Charleston.

My mother took me there as a kid many times.......Sad to see it go.
