Just for clarification, I was never worried about the area being safe. When I asked if it was a good spot I meant would it be a good spot for a meet up as in are there tables where we could sit, shade, etc. These rodeos are often in parking lots that don't lend themselves to socializing.
I grew up in or around gangland in Los Angeles. There is no place in North Charleston that scares me too much to keep me away from good food. Trust me, I went to some sketchy places back then on the hunt for the most amazing hand rolled tamales. Yum!

This sounds like fun to me .

I've never understood how bad North Charleston is? Maybe I just haven't been to the right parts? Either way, it's a food truck gathering with lots of people and I'll go with friends. Hopefully no one mugs me for a few bucks of cash and a vegetarian food truck treat.

Chances are once they figure out it's vegetarian, they won't want my food at least .

No shade or tables in this spot...unless they rent tables which is doubtful.

I doubt no shade will be a problem in mid-March, however a place to sit would be nice. I think I may head over myself - haven't had the food truck experience yet!

There a good bit of shade between the Kangaroo and the Bank on the West end of the parking lot, but still no tables, we could all bring chairs or tailgates...

I think there will be tables. Haven't been to one yet where they haven't set up some tables. Some folks will bring their own chairs.

There were no tables at the one downtown a few weeks ago. People brought folder/tailgating chairs. But thanks for the heads up about no shade and chairs, at least now we know to bring!
