So anyway...Imma get one of those "Native" stickers followed by a "?"...then have DILIGAF printed under it.
Not an indication of what is out there in the rest of Charleston etc.
But MANY of my immediate neighbors are native South Carolinian's... some born in Charleston and stayed here.
Think about other areas (outside of SC) how many originally born people there are who still live where they are ?
Manhattan (NY) perhaps bad example there are few born there... Brooklyn as well.... kids move away for college or after college.. hey Go West Young Man happens.
California... it was hard to find native Californian's.. they move away.
Always an influx of people to the East and West coasts... as well a departure of people from those areas.
I am happy here with my neighbors of S.C. roots... 4 of 6 homes next to mine are original S. Carolinian's.

I'm soon to be another transplant from NY. I promise, I'm a nice guy who's looking to assimilate to Charleston's customs. I won't be bringing my IROC-Z or my hair grease...And I won't be saying "fuhgedda-bout-it" as much anymore.
Well then, start relaxing now as you wait in NY.. it will all come in time.
87 today's temp, most enjoyable... as I pluck kumquats from our own kumquat tree in the backyard and our banana tree as well this year sprouted lil bananas.. still green... but we shall see
