A new bingo opened up at 5640 Rivers Ave. Don't laugh, we have paid for vacations with bingo winnings. How is this area of town? It looks like it is near Gerald's, Mega Pawn, Phuong Vietnamese, and Marie's Diner. I don't know this area at all. Is the area ok at night?
I saw that sign the other day. I eat lunch sometimes at Marie's.
Its OK,,,just dont go to far down Remount Rd, and take your gun with you.
Maybe I will just skip this place.

I wonder the same thing. At some of the bingos the money goes towards charity. Those are the "beach bingo" games. At those bingos the most you can win is $150 and most of the games only pay $20. There are a couple in West Ashley where the jackpot is $1,500 and most of the other games pay $100. I don't know why bingo is allowed if gambling isn't.

Bingo was grandfathered in as a church fund raising activity...
The other day there was a deal for this Bingo Parlor on either Groupon or Living Social. It was "Bingo night out". Half priced bingo... seemed kind of trashy to buy Bingo from a daily deal site, LOL.

That is for the place in North Charleston. I was thinking about buying it, but decided to ask about the area on here first.
Not great for sure. But during the day as long as you don't stray too far from Remount or Rivers you are probably ok. I wouldn't go there at night. Phuong is awesome Vietnamese food, by the way.
Chances of you being assaulted or having to use a handgun is very limited. Not out of the question (anywhere), but there is a very extremely limited chance of anything happening. Drive the area and see if you're comfortable with it.
We ate lunch yesterday at a place on Bonds Ave. right off Dorchester...most folks would claim you would be shot on sight in that area.
