Yes, we totally understand that which is why I made a point to say that they are taking responsibility. I have no intention of tarnishing any builders reputation, just sharing our experience and opinions. This is not our first time building either so not our first walk in the park. I will say though, especially in our particular case, that some things just should not be missed or ignored. This mistake was just sloppy and overlooked by more than one party which led to a compounding problem.

Ouch. Hope it goes well from here. I have a client who just finished building on IOP and there were several major missteps made by the builder. It was none of the builders mentioned above but it goes to show that just because they're out there building expensive houses doesn't mean they have it together.
