When are the best months to visit Charleston? How is it around the holidays? Too cold?

Not too cold around the holidays..but it depends on what's your definition of cold. We are from New England so it's gorgeous to us. 50's-60's. Beach with a sweatdshirt!

The best time of year to visit is fall. September / October , the weather is beautiful in Charleston during this time.
I am from the southeast coast, so I grew up with similar weather, so to me it is too cold at Christmas time for a vacation.

Definitely now. Most of the tourists are gone, so beach traffic is minimal. Plus it isn't 100 degrees with 90 percent humidity every day like it was in July and August, but the water is still relatively warm.

Like the others have said, NOW and into October. The spring (April/May) is great, too.

yep being from WI, we find it's quite nice to walk Charleston during the holidays... being able to do so, outside, without a parka and boots on, is refreshing lol.

This is a nice time to visit though, as said elsewhere 80's is still nice beach weather, and as the humidity is down its good weather to walk in town, take a carriage ride, etc...

Frankly we hit Charleston frequently, so for us it's a nice time to visit any month in the year.

Any time is a great time to visit . But, I think now through about April will be good. It doesn't ever get really cold here in the winter, you might need a jacket or something but that would be it. Heck you might not even need that, I'm always cold so I don't know how other people fare .

I suggest my golfing buddies visit now thru Dec 15. Still wearing shorts during the day. Plenty warm enough for outside activities but the humidity is low. Good weather for beach walks but maybe not swimming.
