I cannot find out (and I don't think the information has been released) when the next store will have 50% off their groceries. I had no idea this went on yesterday but I may have gone. Call me crazy, but I think this is too good of a deal to pass up, especially since this government shutdown can possibly screw up my husband's paycheck.
I'd tell you, but then I'd have to wait behind you in line.
LOL! Do you seriously know? I would have to come up with some master plan on how to get as many things as possible in a timely manner. I heard some people got $500 worth of groceries for $200. That's insane.
I bought a TON of beer at one just last night. It was at 25% off but will be at 50% by the weekend. I'm sworn to secrecy on the date it goes to half off but will let everyone know as soon as it happens... and after my half off beer run.
edit: FWIW their sign says that everything in the store is 25% off. Hit up the Northbridge Pig - that's where you need to go.
The Pig at Seaside Farms-- just got back. Manager said won't be a mad rush for their store 'cause only perishable and Piggly Wiggly products go to 50%. Start tomorrow morning. Apparently the other stuff not. They are closing October 15th and staff is already doing Harris Teeter training.
I have honestly not been into one Piggly Wiggly since living here. I use pretty much every other grocery store. Is one better than the other? I'm in West Ashley but will drive. But thanks for the heads up moneill. Do you think it's worth it? I wonder if the store has that much stuff for someone to want...
And scuba steve, no need to worry about me getting the beer before you. I'm not a drinker

I haven't been into a Piggly Wiggly since moving here last year either, but the Northbridge store is in West Ashley... so when the deals happen, that's our place to hit .
Us West Ashley folks should plan an attack the day it happens. Go in there with a full-force strategic plan LOL.
