My guess is that the storm damage statewide ..... just wiped out the possibility of financing the 526 extension by the state infrastructure bank... for years to come. With the number of roads and bridges that have been compromised , I don't know that the bank currently has the resources to handle just that... hopefully the state will finish this fiscal year with a whopping surplus again and that it is used to fund the bank.

Chip Limehouse is not seeking re-election (Biggest supporter of 526 expansion). Big wins for Nix526

The Feds will most likely pick up the tab.

You mean they STILL haven't completed the Mark Clark? I left the Low Country in '91 and I remember they were completing just past Ashley Phosphate Rd.

You must be new here (to citydata/charleston) Welcome

Yes I fully support nix526 ($700 million+ is wasteful spending, and not a priority to the state of South Carolina).

No, it's still not done onto Johns Island. The low country is way behind the times Rick!

I know him and see him at the gym. He is not seeking re-election, but told me he will still keep pushing for 526 and it will get done.
