I have 4 muscle cars now and have a couple of more id like the get and finish. We all love myrtle a lot with that said its more important to have a good school system for the kids. I posted in the myrtle section also but wanted to talk to others in areas near it for there opinions as well.
Mediterranean style houses are not that common around here so if you can compromise on that factor, it will open up your search somewhat. Still given those parameters, and wanting a good school district, I think Summerville's Dorchester 2 school district would be the most likely area. There are 18 active listings with 3 car garages there right now and none in Mt Pleasant or James island. That's not to say something won't come up though...

Although I don't have school age children, From what I had heard I agree with Local Hero that Dorchester School District II has great schools.

i hear that i see a lot of houses with stucco for sale on the sites. I'm in Staten Island. If i were in a area with a certain kind of house then yeah i would build that style to stick with the neighborhood.

Look into Lowcountry style houses. The traditional vernacular architecture here is amazing, beautiful, and something to be proud of.

You're certainly welcome, Nick. This is a very different place from Staten Island... just about as different as you can get.
Maybe a trip down here might give some idea as to whether it would be a fit for you, because quite frankly, I'm not so sure.

Mediterranean style homes with large garages is one of reasons I can't wait to get out of Florida! I love the Charlestonian style homes. Front porches, shutters, hardwood floors, fireplaces, etc...
When I relocate to Summerville in a few years (retirement) I plan on concentrating on neighborhoods like White Gables. I hope there are more neighborhoods like that in the area. That just happens to be one I checked out last time I was in Summerville. Not everybody's cup of tea, but I like the idea of the small yards and garages in the back of the house.

There's already enough 'meh' architecture in the area. What's a different form of 'meh' going to do?
