It's my observation that "Closed for renovations" generally means they aren't coming back. If the store had been hugely profitable, they would have been busting butt to get it reopened.

Default Arby's #5239, 1190 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464-3131

If a renovation is taking more time than expected, then I would be concerned about the likelihood of reopening. It should not take more than six months for a quick service restaurant renovation.

I could swear that I that saw a sign stating that they were hiring ... now I'll look for it.
But truth is I don't like their products!

When the Captain D's in Goose Creek burned to the ground a few years ago, a construction crew was tearing it down and building a new one almost immediately.

I am surprised there is only a single Arby's East of the Cooper. Who knew!

At one point, they had a sign indicating renovation. I drove around it yesterday, not promising. I'm in Goose Creek daily now, so I eat at the University Boulevard location.

I do not like Arby's sandwiches, but I have enjoyed its curly fries.

Construction zone
Construction is set to begin in May to convert the Arby’s at 1190 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. in Mount Pleasant into the company’s new Inspire design, according to company spokesman Luke DeRouen. The restaurant at Bowman Road closed before Christmas for renovations, but work has stopped in recent weeks. The changeover is set to be completed by the end of June, he said.
