All Northbound lanes of the Ravenel closed while police investigate possible shooting of two people in the walking lane on the bridge. Live 5 initially reported two dead. Have since walked that back.

Ravenel Bridge NB lanes closed as police investigate reported sh - Live5News.com | Charleston, SC | News, Weather, Sports
I missed this by 15 minutes. I parked at waterfront park, walked over the bridge to the Kangaroo on East Bay, then walked back. I sent someone a text as I was coming down the ramp at 7:26pm. Apparently the call came into 911 at 7:57pm. .

If it was a murder/suicide, I bet I know who it was. There was an odd looking couple sitting on the bench at the top of the bridge. They stood out because they didn't seem to be exercising.

I hope it wasn't them. I am just glad it wasn't me.

I was going to walk the bridge tonight. The sheriff at the base of the bridge told me it was closed. He said he couldn't tell me what happened, but it would be on the news in a few minutes. I must have gotten there right after it happened. I'm glad I didn't go a little earlier!

MtP PD still only saying two were shot.

One witness says people were taking pictures of bodies. Shameless.

The lack of reporting (details) on this story leads me to believe that this was a domestic issue. The general feeling of media as a whole is they are handling this with kid gloves. None the less, it is very sad.

Wife called it murder suicide.. Seems the most realistic.. As no suspect is at large and gun was found there.

They're saying both victims were taken to MUSC and they back-tracked on reporting them being dead. It wouldn't be a murder suicide if they're alive.

The derelict media in this town is beyond ridiculous. Time and time again they accept whatever they are spoon fed (or not) by local governments. The Moultrie News is actually reporting what happened.

I think the media should let it go. The individual or couple that participated in this act did so for the grand scheme of it all. There is no public safety.....it has nothing to do with the race. It was one or two sick people. End of story. Let's not focus on it.
