Help! I was dinner for the noseeums last night. My legs are covered with their bites. I am going crazy over the itchy and scratching them. What should I put on them to stop the itch?? Thanks a bunch!

mike --

Got any Cortizone cream in your Medicine Cabinet ?? Sounds like a trip to Walgreens is in your future. While you're there look for some DEET, or Cutter's for your next dinner with the noseeums.

Best results my family has found seems kind of crazy but I swear it works. Fire ant bites, gnats, chiggers, etc.

Use the heat from a hairdryer to heat up your skin at the bitemark just to the point of discomfort. Make sure not to burn yourself doing this. Once the heat dissipates, no more itching for the day. You may have to do it a second time 10 or so hours later, but I've never had it sting or itch after the second time. I read somewhere that the heat releases the histamines at a higher rate or something. Hope it works for you.
