I thought the flyover was the Main Rd/17 thing. Yeah I'm for that as the traffic there is substantial.

The only thing a flyover will do is make 17 move a little better but back main st up because of the number of cars getting off 17 going onto a 1 lane road. The road is not ment to handle that amount of traffic.

Main road seems fine as long as they are not stopped at the light. zoom zoom. Saturdays at lunch are a bit of a pain but this should fix it.

It's fine till there's an accident or flooding. Which happens often enough.

With a flyover, the flooding is solved. Accidents happen everywhere, not so much on main road, just at the intersection which would be fixed by the flyover.

Charleston traffic will get worse each year, the state needs a comprehensive roads overhaul but the rural areas out number the few growing areas and don't want higher statewide fuel taxes. Unless it's fixed in 5-10 years what people start moving away to retire elsewhere with better infrastructure.

That's not the fuel tax. SC has one of the lowest gas taxes in the country. ~.16.

That is the sales tax, right? Sorry it is 9%, not 8%.
