I have not been, but it was on TV the other night (Man, Fire, Food) and it looks like fun.

I don't know of any place with decent steaks. Grab some at HT or the Pig and grill at home.

Bowens Island should definitely be on your list. Try to go at sunset, the views can be spectacular. The oysters aren't too shabby, either.

The views and the oysters are the main reason for going to Bowens Island. Mrs Bowen was my landlady many years ago and in those days it was such an exotic venue that I felt everyone should go. a fire and many years later... It's a bit different now.

Tell him to look for dates in the Sandollar Social Club, then won't have to worry about fine dining

Rita's serves steaks. It is after all owned by Hall's Chophouse. A 14 oz ribeye is $35. Rita's sounds like a place where he would be more than satisfied.

We have not been to JOC's, but the reviews couldn't be any better.

I ate there last summer and the food was very good. It's not your typical beach fare, but if you're adventurous you'll be pleasantly surprised.
