We've used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing a few times. They send a clean-cut plumber, show up on time and clean up when finished. Their prices are flat rate based on the job, not the hour. I don't know what a reasonable plumber should cost......but these guys are worth a phone call.
Note that my knowledge of indoor plumbing ends at the flush handle on the toilet.
I’ve got a couple things I need done. Did you end up finding anyone good?
Yes, I did! James and Rocky work together. They are now my forever plumbers! They were very reasonable, very honest, did not try to get me to do unnecessary work, and they listened to what I needed. The others that came to look at the work did not listen to me, told me I needed a lot more work done (one even told me I needed to repipe everything), and the quotes were ridiculously high. James' number is 843-327-0114.

I'd be interested in hearing a Price Comparison on these plumbers. When you need a guy.....it's good to know he won't over-charge for basic work.
Because we use Limric for multiple homes, we pay a monthly fee to them and they come repair what ever is needed when it's needed. For us that works great, but I'm sure it wouldn't be as cost effective for someone who is only needing them from time to time. Like any profession, there are good plumbers and bad ones, so do your diligence, check their ratings, and you'll find one that works out well for you.
Yeah, we just have a few little things to get fixed, so the one-time, cash price is of interest to us. Someone here mentioned a few names.....I'm wondering how they worked out.
I'm afraid I was not born with the Plumbing Gene. As I mentioned upthread -- my knowledge of indoor plumbing ends at the flush handle on the toilet.
