Hi all,
I am trying to coordinate a Saturday night out for a 20 & 30-something bachelorette party (about 10-15 girls). Any good advice on restaurants and dance clubs in the Historic Charleston area? This group loves to have fun and we're from all over the country, meeting up to have a fun weekend together....

Will there be pillow fighting? I actually have a large room in my house that's reserved just for single attractive 30-something women who need space for group pillow fights

This just in from the Post & Courier, don't try a poker party, no matter what Pokrplyr says...

However, I see the parties going from club to club downtown as they are pretty close together between Market & East Bay. Both of the rooftops are great if it's nice out.
Market Street Saloon & Trio should do as well.

Get a limo, (I do have a suburban though).

Market Street Saloon's been closed for months, sadly.

I've seen quite a few bachelorette parties swing through Meritage for tappas, and then walk down through the Market areas of downtown. Hitting places like Trio, Mad River, Wet Willies, Club Light, etc. Honestly, once you hit the market area, you no longer need a plan. Just follow the lights and laughter.

Oh, and we were hoping to keep it cheap by driving our cars over (we have a couple who wouldn't mind being DD)...any advice on where to park down there?

Forgot about the saloon being closed! A true waste of talent.

You can use public parking on Cumberland, next to Moe's. It put's you right into the thick of things.

DJ, I'm surprised you would stoop so low as to recommend Wet Willies. How many times have you heard, "The last thing I remembered was going into Wet Willies..."?

I've done my fair share of "Honey, come pick us up, we're leaving Wet Willies now" 3am after-girls-night-out chauffer duty. My wife will be the first to attest, "$7 for a Call-A-Cab, and your girls' night is gonna be great!".

MARKET STREET SALOON is the only bar in Charleston that you must go to for your last night of Freedom. The DJ will make you feel special as soon as you walk in the door on the mic, straight to dancing on the bar. They also have "Things to Do" tshirts for bachelors and bachelorettes!
