After lots of research, and very generous input from you all, it looks like Charleston is the clear winner in my search to relo! I'll be moving in August and am thrilled! I'm also a bit nervous, seeing as how this will be my first major move and I'll be leaving all my friends and family. But, if the people on this forum are any indication, the people in Charleston are very kind and generous.

I've been searching Monster & Career Builder but it seems that they have only captured a small percentage of the job listings (at least, I hope their posts are a small percentage). Does anyone know of a really good employment website? I have 10 years experience in the mortgage industry and was thinking of doing contract processing but I've also wanted to get a feel for the real estate development side of things, either commercial or residential. It sounds like expansion is robust so I'm hoping there will be opportunity.

Or, what are the big industries in Charleston, aside from tourism?

Thanks again!

Oh, and if you want to know anything about Seattle, let me know!

The big industries in Charleston, aside from tourism, would be higher education (there are several colleges/universities in the Charleston area), medical (due to the Medical University of South Carolina), and defense/aerospace technology.

For more job listings, you might also want to check out the online version of Charleston's daily, the Post and Courier: http://www.charleston.net
