I am a Latino who is about to graduate and move to Charleston, SC. What recommendations do you locals have for me? I will be working at the airport as an engineer, so I would prefer a location near there. How is traffic to and from the airport? Any recommendations on apartments near there? How is the Latin community in Charleston, SC?

There are not a lot of us in the area. The latin community is very small here. What kind of things are you interested in doing? They have Salsa night downtown on thurs and sat.

The legal Latin Community is small, there is a very large very real illegal alien community in the Ashleyphosphate Rd. area and Hannahan.

Traffic to and from the airport can be hit or miss depending in what time your coming and going and what route you take. During rush hour your going to deal with some traffic, but it depends on where you are from to determine if you think its bad or not. If you need info on an apartment DM me I have some contacts who can offer you pretty sweet deals in a couple good areas.
