Were visiting summerville,mt pleasant and isle of palms. What rest would u recommend? In isle of palms we would like a seafood rest on beach. Anyone know the address for the aquarium in charleston or a link? And I heard there's a garden park in summerville that's really nice. Anyone know about that or what its called?
you absolutely need to eat at Coconut Joes....this is my favorite spot in Isle of Palms....I make it a point to go there everytime I am in town. Great Atmosphere--right on the beach.....and they have the best shrimp and grits in charleston....that's right folks.
I heard Middleton Plantation is awesome it is not in Summerville but very close off of HWY 61.
The aquarium is South Carolina Aquarium on Charleston Harbor. Moms are free on Mothers Day.
If you would like try The Fleet (harbor front) restaurant down town. Great Views!
I just tried a newer place in Mt Pleasant this past Sunday for brunch called Crave, and it was excellent...biggest pancakes I have ever seen, excellent shrimp and grits, and 2 Mimosas or Bloody Mary's served w/ whatever brunch you order...my grandmother ordered their Special Fried Green Tomatoes, and they were to die for, as was the skillet dish my grandfather had. It's in the Seaside Farms shopping area and is very highly recommended.
I second Middleton Plantation and you may want to try Magnolia Gardens. Middleton is more sculptured landscaping and Magnolia is a more free style. Azalea Park is always great for a local flower park in Summerville.
If money is no object and you want a culinary experience like no other go to The Woodlands Inn Restaurant in Summerville. Woodlands Inn | Summerville, SC (http://www.woodlandsinn.com/dining/ - broken link)
It is a very fancy white table cloth place. Don't go expecting huge portions or all -your- can -eat.
