Jim 'N Nick's is good (try the smoked turkey) but if you're looking for reeeally good BBQ, you'll want to check out Momma Browns in Mount Pleasant (more N.C. style vinegar/pepper), Duke's in Ridgeville (great pulled pork, hash and fried chicken), or if you feel like driving an hour head up to Sweatman's in Holly Hill - Anthony Bourdain filmed up there for an episode of his show.

I'd say Mamma Brown's is LowCountry style vinegar/pepper. I've never tasted bbq in NC that is as sour as what you'll find at MBrown's. We frequent MB's for the sides...not so much for the bbq.
And vinegar/pepper is LowCountry style "Q". Most folks think the LowCountry means mustard, but the original sauce style is vinegar/pepper. Mustard migrated from the Midlands east from what I've been told.
