I'm looking to move to the Charleston area to teach. I've been an Ohio resident for basically my whole life and am not too familiar with the Charleston area. To those individuals that live in this area, can you give me tips on which areas/schools are in "safer" neighborhoods. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are thinking of moving to the Charleston area, most families choose the Dorchester 2 school district which is in Summerville. The elementary schools are fantastic. The high school is a mega school so that may not be for all students. I've lived in the area for 25 years and I'm a realtor also. If you have other questions, ask away.
