HOA fees in Hobcaw Creek Plantation are about $800 a year. You should be able to get a good bit of information on Mt. Pleasant through this forum, on the better real estate web sites and of course through the Realtor with whom you are working who should be quite familiar with the communities and real estate options in Mt. Pleasant.

I moved here from Key West and I really love it here. I have lived in several other nice areas. Williamsburg VA, Pembroke Pines FL, Atlantic Beach, NC and this is by far my favorite area. I grew up in Charlotte NC and Northern CA.

I like how everything is close by including shopping, restaurants, Recreation and Parks, the beach and down town Charleston. Crime is lowest in the area, Schools are great. Whats really not to like!

I deal with people from all over the country (being in real estate) and I don't really see that people are more or less pleasant but I meet new people from all over on a daily basis, I don't just talk to locals.
