Well, the same man has cut my hair since I was old enough for my first hair cut. And now that I am relocating to Charleston, I will be looking for a new barbershop. I would like to know if there are any hometown type barbershops in the area. The kind of place where the shop has been open for a loooooong time. Where you go in to chat as well as get a cut. Any place like that near either Summerville or North Charleston?

Thomas' is good but a little expensive ( I think) $15 for a simple cut. Then if you add a tip it is more. What do most tip in this area for a haircut anyway? For a $15 haircut I sometimes question if I need to tip at all.
