Hello everyone,

I recently accepted an offer in the South Charleston area for 4 months and will be moving down to the area by the end of January. The problem is I have no knowledge about the area and still didn't find a place to stay. I can probably spend $450/month maximum with all utilities, as I don't earn much from the jobs. I would really appreciate any inputs that you guy provided. I don't mind sharing apartments with people.

Do a search for apartments in Charleston. We have had several threads in the past few months with lots of information about area apartments for the Kanawha Valley which includes South Charleston. One place that I am not sure that was mentioned in any of the other threads was a place called Stratford apartments in South Charleston. Their phone number is 304-768-2177. I know of someone who rented a very small furnished apartment there on a month to month basis for a few months. Not sure if they have anything available but just another suggestion in addition to the ones mentioned in the other threads. It might be kind of hard to find an apartment for just a few months. I think most places will want you to sign a year lease. Good luck.
