Both Charleston and Huntington are looking to continue the bus line that runs between the two cities. Federal Funding cuts have put the future of the bus in danger, and local governments are looking for ways to keep it going. The service has been a positive thing for the area.

Hmm, 1,200 people riding the bus each month, the buses are full coming and going with often standing room only on the way back to Huntington. That can't be can it? We are told on here so often that this bus only has 24 people on it and it's mostly empty going back to Huntington.

Yeah, we are also told on here that Morgantown is the largest city in the state and that the whole world revolves around it.

Just for fun, which it was, on my way back I clocked the distance from Milton to Nitro on my car on my way back Sunday. It was only 16 miles! I think we can all agree that Nitro is part of Charleston, and that Milton is a part of the Huntington area. For there only being 16 miles of space (developed space I might add) between the two cities, we are more linked than people give us credit for.

They are improving the bus?

That must be a big blow to the upcoming dedicated rail line between Charleston and Huntington to keep those thriving and growing dense urban metropolises connected.

I mean 1200 people a month. That is like 40 people a day. I was against the Charleston rail expansion when I thought the bus only had 25 people, but 40 or so people, that changes everything. The threshold when a city needs dedicated transit rail is 30 people a day.

Seriously though didnt they break apart the forums to stop everyone from bashing Morgantown every chance they get? Even in the Charleston forum people still feel the need to make it about Morgantown.

They split the forum so you would have to work harder to highjack every thread.

funny how the Morgantown forum is the least active!

Yes, it is because people feel the need to talk about Morgantown in the Charleston forum. Also you spam it with inane subjects praising local artwalks or the exciting news that the Charleston-Huntington bus line has 40 riders a day.

Funny how you complain about me hijacking threads and someone hijacks yours and go along until I show up. Chris, you need to have consistent standards and not make the Charleston forum a base to try and target Morgantown or this forum will quickly go downhill. I realize that, and an individual from Huntington, are bitter towards Morgantown, but it is time to put that behind you and move forward.

What did I dream up?

The part where Tim hijacked the conversation and you went along with it?

The part where you post about the Charleston-Huntington bus has 40 riders a day?

The exciting post about chili cookoffs and announcement for every generic store that opens in Charleston?

Like I said now that Charleston has its own forum perhaps you should just stick to Charleston. Go to the Morgantown forum and you will notice we dont feel the need to change our topics about Charleston.

So maybe you should take your own advice and stay out of the Charleston sub-forum. If I want to post on International Chili Cookoff Championships in Charleston, I can. You invited yourself into the conversation, so you can't blame anyone but yourself for the outcome of your rants.

Nobody even said anything bad about Morgantown here, if you read we we referring to the few individuals on this forum, and nothing was said about Morgantown. So again, you were the one who started any high-jacking like normal (every other post)!

Chris, this is not your private forum.

You and Tim took it upon yourselves to start bashing Morgantown.

Also, I am not complaining about your inane post. I was just replying to your, "The Charleston forum," comment. I could make a post every time a gas station opens in Morgantown, or some stupid festival occurs, but nobody cares. Sure there is nothing stopping me, but it is just preference. Your post dont bother me until you try to make them Morgantown vs Charleston. You do this a lot.

This is what I have been saying all along. People from Charleston have a chip on their shoulder toward Morgantown. Why? I don't know. My guess is they are jealous, but it is hard to tell. In Morgantown we don't let Charleston consume our lives. Sure we hate the state government, but so does everyone outside of Charleston. Stop taking it personally. Also, nobody here has anything against Charleston, but you do get upset when people point out inconvenient facts about Charleston, or portray Charleston as anything less than a urban alpha world city which you believe it is. It is a nice small city that is like a town. I am glad the bus now has 40 people a day. Maybe it is time to buy a bigger bus.
