West Side Main Street ,a local non-prophit that has been doing urban renewal on the West Side for years, has purchased the Staats Hospital building in the Elk City district. The old four story building has been empty for years and has been an eye sore. The group wants to put their offices, plus a bakery/cafe on the bottom, and office space on the other floors. If this works out, this will be a big advantage for the West Side.
