I am looking to purchase land in the Charleston area and was hoping to get recommendations.

As of now there is property just outside the city limits, about an acre that has a home in bad shape. The house would need to be gutted.....or tore down and a new one built.

I saw land with utilities where I can also build. I just don't know how much it would cost me to do either and need someone to look at the land and help me come up with ideas, realistic budget, etc.

ANY help/info would be appreciated

I'm sorry you haven't gotten any suggestions. I can't offer one. I have never built a house. Nobody in my family has either. I can't even think of any friends that have built homes around Charleston. I suspect others are in a similar situation.

Only builder I can think of is Alan Bell (I believe that is the name)

He developed The Ridges out off Corridor toward Logan. Not sure but he may only do developing and not private builds.

Schumacher builds custom homes. They are a little pricier than most builders in the area. But they have a portfolio of nice homes
