Downtown Charleston Riverfront... (home, landscaping, living in)

I'm not currently living in the Charleston area anymore, but always hear rumors from back home about Charleston doing something with the riverfront area or magic island to bring in some fresh development... anything actually happening in these areas.

Not really anything big. They are just building a cover on Haddad Riverfront Park.

They could use some landscaping down there. Last time I saw it the areas surrounding the steps were really sparse. I know a certain amount of visibility needs to be maintained for events, but some well-placed landscaping would make the area look spiffy.

How long have you been gone? If it's not been long, not much different on Magic Island, if it's been a while....

Situated at the confluence of the Elk and Kanawha Rivers, Magic Island features a walking track, sand volleyball courts, and picnic areas.
