I too was excited about the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Nitro. Until we had lunch there last Sunday.
Terrible service. The food wasn't very good. Can you say Sysco?

That's easy! What Charleston needs is an EarthFare, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or, better yet, a local equivalent!

Well, it's finally happening, we are getting a Best Buy in South Charleston. It will be in the location where Circuit City was in the Shops at Trace Fork.

I figured it was a matter of time. While a lot of the big box stores don't consider Charleston a "major" market, it's still large enough that it needs a major electronics chain. When Circuit City closed it pretty much left Charleston with nothing, so it was logical (and smart) for BB to move in. I'm going to guess that what you get will be one of the reduced-sized stores, though. In my area (West metro Atlanta) they opened one. It has the major basics of a Best Buy (cameras, computers, TVs, etc) but doesn't sell every extra fluff item the full sized stores do. Still does well, though.

Here's the local story, by the way: http://www.wsaz.com/home/headlines/96842339.html

I love visiting Charleston but I think it needs a Barnes and Noble bookstore. But I do admit, Taylor Books in downtown is a nice local choice.

The only B & N in the state is in Granville (Morgantown) and Charleston is a bigger city.

I know there's a Books-A-Million in town but B & N are nicer and have a greater selection.

EDIT: Just read the original post and Barnes and Noble was mentioned. Well, I second it!

Nitro Marketplace--- in the old Goody's store

in the Town Center---- old Steve & Berry's store
