What are the "must hit" activities in Charlotte for families?

Thanks,

I'd say uptown in general. There's a lot to do. Search the threads. There were a few recommended walking tours (I wrote one!) for uptown.

We went today and enjoyed it.

As non-Nascar followers, I wasn't sure how much we would like it. Even with over half the museum being lost on us, we still had a blast. It was not crowded when we went, so that probably helped. I was surprised, though, at how many displays were already malfunctioning.

I felt exactly the same way. Its amazing how much ephemera there is inside that museum. Sorry to hear about the displays malfunctioning. Was the AC still really cold?
