I have to go get my license renewed. I know, I know...no time is a good time at the DMV. But, it must be done...and soon.

So, I will take my little book to study the road signs, my current licesne (of course) and some cash. I think that I am armed and ready.

I am thinking of going mid morning next week, but NOT around payday/last day of month. Any thoughts on which location or a better time of day to go?

Taben

Either go to a county surrounding Meck or put up with any lines you find.

I went to the one on Tryon near Harris Blvd and it was not bad. I had to wait about an hour and a half because the computer went offline during my fiance's test . I had gotten there around 10 am

P.S do not forget proof insurance.

I always go to the one on Brookshire (Hwy 16). I go in the morning (not first thing though) and never have had to wait very long. I don't think I've every spent a solid hour in the DMV, so the horror stories are lost on me.

My daughter just had to go get her permit. The lady at the Independence branch told us Tuesday mornings around 10 am were usually pretty good. We went on Tuesday, but as soon as it opened ( she was excited) and still didn't have to wait too long.
