Does anyone have any good suggestions for a birthday party venue for a 5 year old girl. We have done them at our home in the past, but we would rather do it somewhere else this year. Preferably in the south charlotte area. We have been to all of the bounce houses in the area, so we are aware of those options...but we are looking for something "different". TIA
How about Sports Connection, Build a Bear or even holding it at a museum - we have been to parties at the Nature Museum that were just great. A couple of other options would be a pottery painting studio like dish it out or Artspace Studio, or at a dance studio
Thanks! I was thinking about Dish it out, never thought of Build a bear. I would love to do a dance studio, but a good chunk of the kids are boys, but my dtr would LOVE a super girly party. That is why I am having a hard time. The last two years we used Copy Cats for kids, which came to our home...very economical and a perfect party for a varity of ages and both boys and girls.

I suggest a movie party
Find a theater with a "party room", bring the cake and have some pizza delivered. While the kids eat your daughter can open presents, then you all head off into the theater to enjoy a fun movie like "Ramona and Beezus"
We have done the Nature museum party and it was great! Not too expensive either. Discovery place has them, too - never done theirs. Ray's Splash Planet is an option - good for boys and girls.
Charlotte Parent magazine always has lots of ideas and ads for different places - www.charlotteparent.com
We did Ben and Jerry's for our four year old daughter. You come in before the store opens (10:30-12:00) and the kids all get behind the scene tours, make old fashioned hand made ice cream, do tie dye shirts, etc. They provide everything (ice cream cake included), you just show up (and parent's just drop off the kids due to it being small inside). Our daughter and her friends loved it and it was great for us because there was nothing to do.
You may want to wait a year or two, but Inner Peaks climbing center has fun parties for ages 5 and up. Birthdays « Inner Peaks Climbing Center, Charlotte NC
It's off of Monroe Road in Matthews - definately something different
WOW...those are some awesome ideas!!! Stuff I would never have thought of!! Thanks!!! LOVE the movie idea and Ben and Jerry's...we thought of Rays, but we would have some smaller kids too...so I wasn't sure how that would go. Again, THANKSSS!!!
