DH came for an overnight on business in 2006, then for a one day job interview in 2007, the first time I visited was in April 2007 when we were moving DH into his temporary apartment he took when he started his job. We moved for the job, lucky we like it here.

First time here was in January of 2009. Liked it and was looking for a change with warmer weather. At the time I did some extensive research and looking for a growing city - Charlotte was high on the radar so we picked up and moved in April with no jobs after both getting laid off. Everything worked out for us - we both landed great jobs and I truly believe it was a blessing from God that we are here!!! I believe it's where I'm supposed to be...(even though I have to admit I am missing Manhattan)
