Flooring and Remodeling work (Charlotte, Davidson: insurance, homes, buying)

I am moving from Florida to somewhere outside Charlotte area in less than a year. I am a flooring contractor (Tile, Wood and Carpet). I want to start a company doing total Kitchen and bath remodels and flooring. Anyone know if there is a big call for this there.... There is in florida but I dont want stay here the property tax and home insurance is through the roof.

I am sure there is. There are alot of folks buying up older homes and remodeling them them. Especially in the city itself. NODA (North Davidson) is a perfect example of this.
