I am looking for a dirt walking track in the Steele Creek area off Rt. 160. I have a bad food and walking on the asphalt in my subdivision hurts my foot, so thought I could try a dirt-type walking track, if one is available. Does anyone know where I can find one near Rivergate Shopping Center, Berewick or Winget Park?

Thanks

If you don't mind driving to the Pineville area, you could try the McMullen Creek Greenway located off 51... I think there's an entrance between Park and Johnston Roads. I've only run there a couple of times, but from what I remember it's mostly manicured dirt and gravel.

Oh yea, and Anne Springs Greenway in Fort Mill might be a good, and closer option for you. I don't really know too much about it though.

The Anne Springs Close Greenway is a great place to take walks, and it's not too far from Steele Creek at all. There are lots of dirt trails to choose from. We go walking there quite a bit (and always stop to pet the horses and goats).

There is a greenway behind the Petsmart at Rivergate, and Berewick has walking trails throughout the community. The trails in Berewick are pretty short, so it wouldn't be a long walk, but there are a few of them.
