Both neighborhoods have the same school assignment - you can't go wrong in either there.

Love the homes in Ardrey myself - just like that look

I could be wrong but I think Bridgehampton homes are more expensive than Ardrey. Which may or may not be a critical consideration for you. You will love the area either way!

They are both lovely nouveau riche neighborhoods, particularly Bridgehampton with its McMansion sensibilities. Ardrey homes are very close together and most homes are on postage stamp size lots. You may also want to check out Allyson Park.

As far as Ardrey, we are looking at the homes in the back of the neighborhood, the Perserve homes I think they are called, which are on larger lots backed up to trees. Very nice and roughly the same price point as Bridgehampton. Any other feedback?

Full disclosure - I live in BridgeHampton. We relocated down about three years ago and looked at a lot of neighborhoods in South Charlotte. Can't comment on Ardrey, but can tell you that BH has a very active HOA that offers a lot of programs for everyone from seniors to infants. The pool scene in the summer is a lot of fun, and we typically have 4th of July parades, Halloween parties, the Easter bunny visit, etc.

The homes are all by John Weiland and (as others have posted) the quality of his homes is very good - lots of interesting architectural details, especially inside. The homes are not inexpensive, but the lot sizes are generous, there are a lot of mature tree's that still exist, and overall it's a very "healthy" neighborhood.

Good luck regardless - this is a wonderful area to raise a family and it has steadily improved in the last three years.
