Is it normal in Charlotte to have a right lane closure sign up when the left lane is really closed? I just seen this on Rea road just north of 485 heading towards 51. I was in the left lane and another driver was infront of me and the left lane closure came up too fast and took us by surprise(good thing I drive the speed limit). They actually had the left lane blocked right past a little bend too which is a bad mistake. The sign they had up clearly showed the left lane as being passable when in reality the left lane was blocked. Is this normal in Charlotte?

This doesnt surprise me with road signs being misspell http://cltblog.com/9518who (broken link) ever had the responsibility of grabbing signs probably wasnt instructed which one to grab.
If you go through the area again grab your camera phone and snap shots or video tape it then submit it to media and dial 311.
This probably a more appropriate sign

I was thinking the same. I was going to pull over and tell them but I figured it wasn't worth it.

The sign just showed two lines, the left side being a straight line and the right side being a crooked line. Even if they didn't speak english they should know what the signs are referring too.
