We are moving to the Waxhaw area and would like to get recommendations on painters in the area. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

We just had our downstairs and part of our upstairs painted. We used a guy who works for one of the companies already recommended during - he paints on weekends with his own crew. Our home is close to 3500 sq. feet, 10 ft. ceiling down and 9 ft. up. There were 3 of them and they started at 8 a.m. and finished around 7:30 p.m. I thought the price was extremely fair and the work was good. We bought the paint.

I would get a few quotes. It cost me $900: kitchen, mudroom, half bath, dining room, office, entrance, two trey ceilings, fireplace bump-out, a long and high stairwell, and a long upstairs hallway. They quoted me $1400 for the entire house, yet we weren't ready to have the four bedrooms, bonus, three full baths, and laundry room painted - wish we would've been. The owner taped, another did the cut-in, and the third did the rolling. For the price, I wasn't looking for or expecting a perfect job, though we were very pleased with the results.

Did you check his insurance? I'm all for using the moonlighter on the wknd, but anytime someone gets on a ladder at my house he better show me some insurance.

Randy and his brother are terrific. They will listen to your ideas and offer helpful suggestions. Their attention to detail is first-rate. If I needed some painting, or other work done -- they do more than paint, and they were not immediately available, I would just wait, I think that highly of them. Good luck!
