We're looking to buy a house and the one we're really interested in has a 23 year old HVAC system. It's currently gas, but we love our electric system (and costs) that we have now. We'd want either duel-fuel or to convert to 100% electric.
Has anyone replaced a unit lately? It's a single unit and we'd want to go w/ a dual zone unit (2 floors, 2100 SF). We're wanting to do the entire thing, heating and cooling. I'm wondering about costs... I need to see if the budget I've set is feasible.
On top of that, anyone recommend a HVAC person? I'd want Manual-J load calculations done to make sure the unit is properly sized... that's a must for me.
