CCS asked me to pass this along to anyone who may be interested. I got it on the 22nd (haven't checked my email in a couple days).

Hi all!

Please pass this along to anyone you think may be interested.

We need part-time help in the Arboretum/Piper Glen/Ballantyne area as well as Dilworth/Cotswold.

Job Duties
• When pet owners are on vacation or working long hours, they hire pet sitters to come to their homes and visit their animals. During short, daily visits, pet sitters feed the animals, play with them, clean up after them, give them medications when needed, and let them in and out of the house for exercise. Dog walkers may be responsible only for taking their clients pets out for exercise. Pet sitters may also be available for overnight stays, looking after the houses of clients as well as their pets.
• As a pet sitter, you must also be ready for the dirty work. You will be cleaning litter boxes and animal messes within the house. On dog walks, you will be picking up after them on the street. You may be giving animals medications. You may also be cleaning aquariums, cages and pens.

Qualifications/Skills
• Well-spoken and approach job duties in a mature nature.
• Have excellent client communication skills.
• Pet owners entrust you with the care of their pets and their homes, so you must be trustworthy and reliable.
• Organized and prepared for emergency situations. The following to name a few:
o A house alarm that won't shut off.
o A dog who is terrified of thunder storms.
o A dog that won't let you come close to him or her.
o A chirping smoke detector.
o A sick critter.
o A jammed door lock.
• Minimum 18 years of age,
• Pass a back ground check,
• Live in the area in which you pet sit,
• Have reliable transportation,
• Have Internet access as well as be Internet savvy,
• Have a cell phone - for emergencies at a minimum,
• Possibly be available to work Monday – Friday lunches,
• Possibly be available many nights and weekends - our schedule depends on when clients need help,
• Walk or stand for extended periods or time; frequently work in a bent position.
• Work may require lifting and carrying animals. Must be able to pick up and carry at least 15 lbs.
• May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites and scratches.
• Experience giving pet medications including pills, liquids, injections & subcutaneous fluids a plus - OR a willingness to learn.
• Pet sitting experience a plus, a willingness to work with dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, reptiles, caged rodents, etc.

Interested applicants should call Jennifer.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Rust
