Yes, go to hotwire.com. Look at the hotels available and note their star rating and amenities. The go to the forum
www.betterbidding.com. There, you can browse to North Carolina Hotels, then the Hotwire hotel list on that page. Then you can try to match up the amenities and star rating of the hotels listed on Hotwire to their actual matches. Works for me (almost) every time, in any city. Even though Hotwire doesn't tell you what hotel you are purchasing, you can usually figure it out because only one hotel in an area matches the star rating/amenities exactly. Using Hotwire in combination with BetterBidding.com, I sometimes pay as little as 33% of the going advertised rate for a hotel and still know exactly what I am buying thanks to the informative folks on this forum. I travel weekly and use it almost every time, and I have no regrets even for the 10% of the time when my prediction was wrong (hey, a 4-star hotel in midtown manhattan for $89 is still a 4-frickin'-star hotel in midtown manhattan for $89 - not a bad deal even if you don't know where you are staying).
