I've been calling around for it and no one seems to sell. The health department will give us 2 pills per person, but that won't cut it if this meltdown goes full blown!

I assume you are concerned about what is happening in Japan and thinking you have something to worry about here?

RELAX. By all scientific accounts if won't affect the west coast, much less the east coast of the US.

potassium iodide protects your thyroid from radiation. If you can't get any, which you really can't now, eat miso soup, seaweed/kelp. I got kelp pills at earth fare... Better to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best then to no prepare at all and be screwed!

I got mine online. The largest manufacturer is Medical Corps. They aren't selling any right now as they're trying to fill orders. But do a search for their products online & buy them from whoever has them. Remember to get enough for your family & your pets if you have any.

Potassium iodide will not help you weather the economic crash.

If you live near one of the nuclear reactors in Charlotte, they will give you the pills for free. You also get a free calendar too from Duke Energy.

In case you were wondering, there are 4 nuclear reactors within a few miles of Charlotte.

They also said two days that what is happening there now wouldn't happen.
I have an ex-coworker who is stationed with her husband there and she says things are very scary there, those people are in a lot of trouble.
