Just heard on the news (36) that Gorman is on the short list for Chicago Schools Superintendant. But it is not in the online Observer yet

He might be up for a challenge
I have been trying to see if I could pick up the story elsewhere but no luck. Since it was not that long and he was in a sit down interview it might have been a teaser for later.

Thanks.
For a minute I thought that I was hallucinating. I saw the clip but could not find any follow up.

If he goes CMS should consider a replacement with a lot less salary.

If he goes - my guess is the next super. will get a similar salary. I don't blame Gorman for the CMS mess - I blame the last school board that built too many schools in one area and allowed the spending to get way out of control.

That wouldn't be a smart move.

They have to offer the going national rate if they want to attract THE most qualified applicants.
